There has been an Outlook bug discovered and I wanted to pass along this information.
If you are running Outlook and have it set to perform auto updates, you may experience duplicate emails being downloaded to your computer.
We wanted to pass along a link from the Microsoft Tech Forum that should help you resolve this issue. The issue appears to be related to a recent version of Outlook and the procedure listed on the forum reverts Outlook back to a previous version.
If you need to perform this fix, please have your IT person within your office assist you. Do not do this if you are not familiar with the processes listed in this Microsoft Tech Article.
If this works for you, please leave a comment and let us know

We just received a response from one of our clients, after this process this seems to have fixed their duplicate email issue.
We would like to hear from anyone else regarding this fix.
Running Microsoft Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 pro and Office 2016. I had noticed duplicate emails I had previously read/deleted showing up again. Followed the link you provided and everything worked as advertised. So far no more dupes. I will let you know if they return.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
